Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: Womack - West Derby
« on: Saturday 28 April 18 23:40 BST (UK)  »
Is anyone on this topic related to William Thomas Arthur Womack?  I have no idea of his age or where he was born but I do know that he served with 99 Squadron during WWII. He was involved in a Wellington bomber crash near where I live in Northumberland.

I am trying to trace any photos of him for my research.

Kind Regards,

Jim

Hi, it was me who posted regarding Irene Arckless.  I have private messaged you but Shaun has just  pointed out that as you are a new user you will probably not receive it.

If you reply to this post twice I will private message my email address (unless of course the first got through and you have it already!).

Looking forward to communicating.

Hi all,

I stumbled across this forum whilst researching Irene Arckless.  I am researching those who were killed in the Air Transport Auxiliary for a proposed book.  I am interested in any background on Irene and details of her engagement to Thomas Lockyer, I believe they knew each other from childhood.

I have tried to trace any surviving family of Irene but so far I have drawn a blank.

I very much look forward to hearing from you.

I would be interested in more background information on Donald Alexander Jameson.  He was killed on 24th April 1943 when flying Mustang AG471 which blew up and crashed crashed 1 mile SW of Bottisham, Cambridgeshire.  He was ferrying the aircraft from Kirkbride in Cumbria to Bottisham in Cambridgeshire as a member of the Air Transport Auxiliary.  I believe he may have been seconded from the RAF at the time.

I am researching the incident and pilot for a proposed book on the 1,300+ aircrew who served with the ATA.

If any family should find this post I would be extremely grateful if you were to get in touch.

Many thanks,

Jim

I stumbled across this post whilst research a Patrick Carden-Jones.  I am working on a book detailing all who served with the Air Transport Auxiliary during WWII and I believe the Patrick Carden-Jones you have as being born in 1915 could be the same person I have on my list.

I know these posts are old but if you happen to pick up this message I would dearly like to hear what you have on this person and if you have any photos of him.

Many thanks,
