Thank you for this. i have wriiten an e-mail at this organisation a few minutes ago. But you know, I do not think that they can help me, because, you know my father was born illegitimate  and so my grandmother  did not spoke about this at the time, as you can imagine.  In the birth certificate of my father is no name of his father: It is like this:
name of mother: Lucia Langer name of father: unknown

Thank you for your search!

Thank you for your information. so now i will try to find an officer or soldier who could help me to find out more information. The official way could not help me, as i said before, because the army is not allowed to give me information. But, perhaps, the army is allowed to give information to an english citizen????

Thank you for your research! I asked my father again and i have 2 more clues: First: my father is born in January 1949 so they must have had their relationship around April 1948.
second: Mr. jenkins was a "normal" soldier. He was not an officer. The men of his unit called him always "Toughie" because he was so though.

I appreciate that very much! Thank you very much! Take your time! It does not matter how long it takes after nearly 60 years!

Exactly this is my problem: My grandmother and Mr. Jenkins had a short relationship after World War II here in Germany and after 9 months, my father was born. My grandmother never spoke a word about Mr. Jenkins. Five years ago, when she was close to death, she told my father the Name of his real father.. I do not know anything about him except of his name and that he lives in Glamorganshire and that he is 5 years younger than my grandmother so he must be born in 1924 or25. They were not married. After the headquarter of the English Army went to Mönchengladbach, Mr. Jenkins went back home. It is so sad for me, that the Army is not allowed to give information. i understand this and it is good, because they only protect people, but you know the only thing I want to know is how he feels if he would be interested to have a freindly contact or something.    Thank you for your searching!

Glamorganshire / Please help me to find my grandfather
« on: Saturday 09 April 05 17:38 BST (UK)  »
Good Morning! My name is Anne and i am 20 years old.  my gran mother comes from germany and my grandfather from Wales/ England. You know I grow older and I like to get to know my roots. my grandmother died five years ago and the only thing she told me, is that his name is Gwyn Howard Jenkins, he is born in 1924 or1925 and he lives in Wales/County Glamorganshire. He served for the Army and was located in Bad Oeynhausen / Bundesland (county) Nordrein-Westfalen/ Germany. The Red Cross and also the Army could not help me because they are not allowed to give me information about soldiers who served for the Army. I thought perhaps anybody would know anything to do to find out something. I only want to know who he is and what kind of person.  I would be glad if anybody coeld help me! and excuse me for my bad writing. Thank you! Curzon
