Up date I've found out some more information on my family As follows
My grandad was Michael Murphy Born 1905 Died 1995 who married my gran name of Georgina they had the following children Michael, Rita who married Tommy Caddis lived at 12 Thornwood Avenue Ayr, Campbell, Cathy, Ina, Any help would be most grateful As all searches have turned up Blank

« on: Sunday 25 October 15 15:26 GMT (UK) »We aren't allowed to post details of living people and online searches indicate this person is still living (and from the date of birth possibly father also still living).sorry I didnt mean to offend anyone I didn't realise as I no longer have contact with my family in Scotland as they have passed I'm just looking into my tree and found out this information as I have not been in contact with anyone as I left Scotland when I was six And have not been back since my father passed
Have you tried contacting him to see if he knows of a connection?

I could suggest checking for Walter McGowan, etc. in the 1911 Scottish census but there's no way of knowing from your post if Walter might have been born before or after 1911.
If he was born in Scotland you can check for a birth registration on Scotland's People website (pay per view).

What details have you already found about Walter McGowan? please give us all the details to save us from duplicating or searching for the wrong family.
