You're very welcome.  You can probably get more information on the pub from Sandwell Archives, this is where Tony gets most of his information from.  http://www.sandwell.gov.uk/info/200253/archives_local_and_family_history

This is a trolleybus of the kind that ran by the 'Little Swan' and gave me one of my earliest memories.

We have one of these running now at our Black Country Living Museum

Monmouthshire / Re: Electoral Roll - Rhymney

Ray - you little Angel - how lovely of you to do this for me.

The household is my Anty Sal - otherwise known as Sarah Williams.  She is the sister of my Gran, Maggie Mutton.  Thank you so much - and as I said, if ever you need any information from the West Mids - I will be only too pleased to help.  My Gran and Granddad, along with their children, my dad and his sisters, came up to Staffordshire in 1936, so that my dad didn't have to work in the mines.  He got a job as a moulder instead, so that was nearly as bad.

Thank you again - Maggie  :D

Monmouthshire / Electoral Roll - Rhymney
« on: Friday 22 July 16 19:26 BST (UK)  »
I wonder if someone could take a look at the Electoral Roll for Rhymney please at Gwent Archives.

I am looking to see who is living with the Williams family at 2 Ael-Y-Bryn, Rhymney U.D., Monmouthshire, Wales for the years following World War 2.  There is William Williams and his wife Sara, sons Thomas James and Nyphai Williams.  I wonder if the wives of Thomas and Nyphai are also here.  If it's not too much trouble, I would like alternate years from 1945/46 until abt 1960.   I live within reaching distance of Sandwell, Birmingham and Dudley Archives, so will be more than willing to return the favour.

Many thanks.

Staffordshire / Re: Great Bridge which parish?
« on: Tuesday 05 July 16 22:33 BST (UK)  »
I have rellies from Great Bridge and most used the church of St Martin in Tipton, or St Peter in West Bromwich.  My G Grandma who lived in Sheepwash Lane, which seemed to be on the boundary had most of her children baptised in St Martin, Tipton.   There have been lots of records added recently for St Martin and St Peter, West Bromwich.
