Thank you for your email. I am of the opinion thatwhat my grandmother told my late father was not the complete story regarding his own father and the circumstances relating to his death. I would like to obtain a death certificate, but am not sure how to, or who exactly to contact.

Apparently killed or died by means other than disease, accident or enemy action 18/12/1916
Buried in Wallasey Cemetery, Rakes Lane, Liscard, Cheshire ref 7. C./-/1.

Don't always believe family stories, I know from experience that they are not always true, Maybe your Grandmother told this to your father for reasons as yet undiscovered.
