It could be a Coldstream Guards cap badge:

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Unidentified Victorian brooch
« on: Friday 01 May 20 11:55 BST (UK)  »
I was looking through a family CdV album, and I spotted something. In three photographs the same brooch appears always worn at the neck. It is worn by a mother and daughter combination.

They were not wealthy aristocrats or gentry, so that would rule out some sort of high end decoration. I just wondered if anybody might have any ideas as it is an item that has cropped up a few times, so I am assuming that it meant something to them.

These are the best close ups that I have been able to get.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Unidentified Church / Possibly South Wales
« on: Tuesday 08 October 19 13:46 BST (UK)  »
This picture appears in a family photo album. The family were based in the Reynoldston area near Swansea, so for many years I assumed it was Reynoldston Church. However, I appear to have been wrong!

Does anybody know where it might be?

Many kind thanks in advance for any help.

This photo is in an old family CDV album - the album presented in 1884.

This is a random CDV in the album, but I was wondering if anybody might know who is in the image?

Many thanks for any help.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Victorian dress/symbols?

Many kind and thanks for the responses.

Out of curiosity I spent some time trying to zoom as much as I could on the "belt," and there appears to be an image of one (possibly two) men on a horse and I can just about make out a word that looks like "Trinity."

I say the lady is not related, but I have thought that about others in the album, only for them in time to eventually turn up on the tree. So I shall keep searching for her and see what turns up.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Victorian dress/symbols?

I was wondering if what this lady is wearing is some kind of uniform or if it has some kind of meaning?

The cross is obvious, but I was wondering about the items around.

She appears in a family CDV album. Potentially she may have had links with the Unitarian Church.

Her name was "Mrs Strong," but I have no further information about her.

London and Middlesex / Southwark Wesleyan Methodist Chapel
« on: Saturday 29 June 19 14:35 BST (UK)  »
I was wondering if anybody might have any images or information regarding the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel that was located at Southwark Park, Rotherhithe?

I have copies of some trustee documents relating to the chapel, but I have little information regarding it.

Many thanks for any help.
