I want to thank you for the link to Irish Genealogy. I was not aware that you could see details of their records. I didn't find what I wanted but I found answers to other inquiries.

Kind regards,
Jmama!

I have James Lynas b.1869  of 4 Mary St Portadown who enlisted in RIF around 1896 but was discharged for a wrongful attestment.  Father David, mother Elizabeth.  Looking for a marriage record to solidify his next step in timeline and found him marrying to Margaret Grimason in  Jan 1897 Belfast but his attestment is dated is April 1897 and lists his father, mother sisters and brothers as his family. The family in the attestment is correct and I have located his brothers attestments also. My issue is there any way to locate another James Lynas marriage after 1897 -father David without opening umpteen  Irish registry records which there quite a few to search through. Can anyone help me locate this record. I am really stumped here.
Kind regards,
Jan

Thank you for your added information here. The record which indicates a Belfast Co. birth for Maisie''s sons Thomas and Reginald and is taken from the Canada Passenger lists 1865-1935 for Maisie Pitman on Ancestry.ca. This is why I am confused about the birthplace. Do you have access to the Canadian Lists?   http://person.ancestry.co.uk/tree/46869909/person/6631825529/facts.

No I haven't searched Scotland yet. The Canadian passenger list was filled out by their mother who indicated Belfast Co. for her eldest two boys. I had only found the one in Kilmallock.

Thanks to everyone who gave input to assist me.

Hello, I am a bit confused as to the birth record of a relative whom on a passenger list says he is born in Belfast Co. and a birth record in Ireland that show Killmallock, Ireland in 1920. His Social Security record shows that he is born in Scotland. Can someone verify his birth status for me as I cannot rely on the internet for an answer.

Cavan / Re: Derry, Cavan...is there such a parish within Cavan?
« on: Tuesday 18 August 15 23:44 BST (UK)  »
Thank you kindly for your input and clarification on this Townland. I just didn't want to write all of Londonberry as well for Derry. I have a parish of Crosserlough in which to narrow my search.
This site is such a valuable resource.

Cavan / Derry, Cavan...is there such a parish within Cavan?
« on: Tuesday 18 August 15 19:48 BST (UK)  »
I have a birth date in 1817 for a Hannah McConkey and the tree owner who shares this relative says that she was born in Derry, Cavan. I am nor sure that such a listing exists or whether it is a name for Parish with Cavan. Her parents were William McConkey and Mary Murphy. Is there anyone that could help with Parish names in the area that I may contact?

Armagh / Re: Is there a 1901 Census for inmates of the Lurgan Workhouse?

Thank you all for your kind response and assistance. The 1901 census for Elizabeth is correct and is what I was leaning towards. I don't know where else to look for David Lyness/Lynas/Lyines. I will make note of the Lurgan Workhouse address for reference.

Kindly ,Jmama

They had used the surname spelled Lyness on his death certificate from there. Would that help?
