Hi again
I have also found the Sherrif Warrant which was signed to put Peter into the Asylum. I can email you a copy if you message me.

Hi Kate

The Wellcome records are not easy to search and not all of them are online.  I have had a look at them and found Peter Boach (as it is spelled). He was admitted to the Southern Counties Asylum on 10/09/1872.he was shown as married and aged 52 years with no occupation and home address: Nethermill, Kirkmichael.  Form of Mental Disorder: Idiocy.  Bodily Condition Impaired.  Supposed Cause Unknown.  His date of death 25/04/1873 which you already have. Hope this helps.

I think this who you are looking for taken from the memorial inscriptions for Dunscore Village Graveyard.
Sacred to the memory of Francis Blacklock son of John Blacklock who died at Speddoch 3rd September 1822 aged 16 months.  Also John Blacklock who died at Tenby, South Wales 6th April, 1836 aged 29 years.  Also Thomas Blacklock who died at Dumfries 10th February 1841 aged 26 years.  Also George Blacklock who died at Glenriddle 30th January 1847 aged 34 years. Also John Blacklock their father who died at Glenriddle 11th March 1849 aged 71 years. Also Agness McDougal their mother who died at Glenriddle 18th November 1856 aged 78 years. Erected by Robert Blacklock.

There is also another inscription for a William Blacklock who died at Speddoch in 1853 aged 83 years which I can type out if you think it is the same family.

Regards

Hi John,,
Yes we celebrated my mums 80th birthday in Egypt.  I am on ancestry so will find you there.  I am descended from Thomas through John 1834, Charles 1866 and Mary 1893.

Sorry I have not been on this site for some time and have just seen your post.  I am 4 x great granddaughter of James McGinnley and Jeanne McMillan.  I am descended from their son Thomas who married Mary McMurdo.  Where do you connect into the family. I have information on some of their other children and have been searching for a long time.  I am also in contact with a couple of people who are also descended from other lines. Please get in touch if you would like the information I have. We have not been able to get back further than James and Jeanne.

Have your looked at the 2 death entries on Scotlandpeople - they should show the spouses names which would lead you to the correct person.   As the death was 1863 this is after registration began in Scotland.

Hi,

I am Milly Mac's cousin and I found the death of Lachlan - can't be absolutely sure it is the correct one.  I have just had another look at the entry on Scotlandspeople but it doesn't say where he is buried.  He is registered in the Parish of Glasgow 644/67 but it doesn't say which churchyard - is there any way I could find out. It looks like there is a lair number but no other info on the page.  His daughter in law is buried in St. Mungo's in 1844, unfortunately in common ground.  I have other posts on this site regarding the McNeill family.

I have not been able to find the death of Jane Martin his wife.  I did wonder if there would be burial records for the family.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
Just to let you know that I found the deaths of the twins in 1856 - they didn't live very long.   Also that I have found the birth of John McNeill to Lachlan and Jane Martin. He was baptised on 22nd December 1799 in Airdrie (New Monkland).  Also the birth of brother William born 2 March 1802 in Barony so now have 8 children to this couple.
