My 2 x great grandmother was Ellen Butler born Kilkenny.She married John McCabe.I found a birth certificate in 1804 with Richard Butler & Margaret Byrnes as parents.With Muckalee as a birth place.I have no way of knowing if it is correct.We may be connected

My family all originally migrated from the British Isles to Australia.I have done a dna test which shows Western European (which includes England & Wales,)& Irish / Scottish & a small % of Scandinavian .Of which I have no idea where I have inherited this from.But we have some very tall people in our family & a predominance of blue eyes.

« on: Wednesday 20 November 19 13:25 GMT (UK) »Well I ve acquired 5% Swedish & 1% Norwegian.I had 4% Norwegian before & I m 4 % more Irish / Scottish.The first results I received were 90% British.
My family name is Irish.3 of my grandparents had Irish descent one had Scottish as well.My other grandparent had celtic from Cornwall & Devon.My latest results are more realistic.With appropiate % of each .But my original result had west asian . Waiting for another update to see what changes.
But I do admit that my matches are all accurate.I have matches from all four grandparents.
