It's been awhile but I have been doing some up dating of the family tree and was reading about your search for James Gilmour and how some of that was connected to my Joseph.
I have never been able to find when he (Joseph) came to New Zealand, there was some family talk that he come over with a cousin (an Alexander). Have just been given a photo of Joseph Gilmour and another man taken in Napier, New Zealand. On the back is written Joseph Gilmour and brother. Was wondering if you had any thoughts or helpful hints.

Clarence dates 1925 - 2000 are right I have birth and death certificates.
Mekal Norman death 1968 is right found his death in 'find a grave' and worked is birth year out from that 1895.
Family story is they had a farm in Wagga Wagga.
Mekal Noman married Deas Isabel Vernon 1901 - 1984 in Wellington in 1922. The earliest I found him in NZ is 1919 in Auckland. They must have returned to Australia because Clarence is born there. They also had Gwendoline b 1923 d 1984
Daphne b 1926 d 1950
Cyril b 1930 - As far as I know still living
In his life he was a School teacher, Farmer, and at his death a wool classer
Mekal Herman have not been able to confirm anything on that man.

Thanks for the information, I had some of the children but had not confirmed them. I can't help with what happened to any of them. Only William as my line comes down through him. I hit abit of a brick wall trying to find Silvester's parents. By the looks of things I have the same census records as

Thanks for all that info. I new a little bit about Katie and Frederick, but what you have found made very interesting reading.
Philips parents were Isaac Aydon and Maria Ann Robinson born and died England.
Agnes parents were John Thomas Smith and Emily Rington know that they were born in England not sure about deaths yet, still working on that one.
Still trying to find when Archibald went to NZ if any one can point me in the direction of a good website that would be great. He married May Jane Woodward, and had 14 children. Of the triplet boys only one lived to aultdhood.

Looking for info on Philip Aydon, he married Agnes Rosa Anne Smith in 1853, Victoria. Had at least 3 children. One being Archibald Alexander who went to NZ. He was born in England in 1826. Can't find when he arrived in Australia, or anything about his life there, any help would be great.
Any info on Agnes would also be FAB. She was born 1830 England and Died 1875 New Zealand.
