Unfortunately I have no marriage/birth/death records.

On a separate forum I read an article about tallow st which indicated Pat Lennon - a butcher - died when his shop on 114 Tullow St burnt down in 1869.  It is from this (unconfirmed) information that I have assumed his date of death - but can not trace any recorded evidence.

Carlow / PATRICK LENNON - BUTCHER

I have run in to a brick wall and am hoping for some help.

Patrick Lennon was a butcher in Tullow.  I believe his shop was burnt - and he died - in 1869.  griffith suggests he was living in Tullow in 1850s.

Would anyone have further information?

Thanks

The Church records were all complete.  That said, I have only checked Presb at this stage - though that certainly seems to have been the family denomination right up to present day.
Anecdotal family history suggests they stayed in the Gilford area until moving to Shankill Belfast in the early 1900s.
As I said, I will maybe try a few other denominations.

Thanks Aghadowey.

I maybe should have said that I have searched the Church records in the area for the period 1859-1879.  The only baptismal details I could find are those listed - which I was then able to cross reference to the 1901 census.
It just seems strange that the first child was born shortly after the marriage.  But there was then a break of 13 years.

Down / children of Alexander MCKEOWN

Alexander McKeown married Eliza Ashwood in Scarva Presb in 1857.  from what I can find they had the following children:
William 1859, James 1872, Robert 1874, Eliza 1876 and Mary 1879.
The 'gap' between the first two children of 13 years seems a little strange.
Am I missing something obvious? ???

Any help would of course be appreciated.

While researching my family tree I discovered my wife had a first cousin on the Titanic.  He was part of the H&W Guarantee Group - Frank (Francis) Parkes.  It appears Frank was 'unique' - in that he sailed on the maiden voyage of both the Olympic and Titanic as a member of the Guarantee Group.  As you will know - all members of the Group were lsot.  His body, if discovered, was never identified.

Just wondering.  I assume you cant fly to the George Best City airport?  It would be less than 5 minutes in a taxi to get to PRONI - giving you more time there....
