Hello, I hope this is acceptable in this area. Maybe it needs to be directed to another location on the Forum.
I hope the Site could be helpful to those researching their Military Family Connections.
This email is to inform you that my Project of the last two years, to create the Membership Database and Web Site for the Rats of Tobruk Association Victoria, is now complete (apart from future updates from Feedback) with the launch of the Web Site on Thursday 23rd Feb. The Link to this Site is:
http://ratsoftobrukvictoria.org.au The Site contains the Basic Records of all Victorian ROTA Service Members, Army, Navy & Air Force, who Served our Nation during the Siege of Tobruk, in 1941.
May I respectfully ask, that you provide a Back Link to our Web Site, in the hope that Rats, Descendants and Relatives of Rats, and others who may have an interest in the Rats and who may like to view the Basic Records of these Famous Men, can do so and perhaps provide updates for the Database Records.
There were also many UK. Indian, Polish and Czech Units who served alongside our Aussie Rats of Tobruk during the Siege of Tobruk, some of whom are also listed in my Rats of Tobruk Membership Database for Victoria and whose Records appear on this Web Site.
I would like to think they would be given the opportunity to have a peek and perhaps find the Record of an old Mate from the past.
We only have approximately 30 or so (Who we are aware of, due to poor communication), who are still alive in Victoria, out of approx 4400 who are in my Database.
This Site may be of assistance for Family History Research.
I thank you in anticipation of your assistance in this matter.
Best Regards
Owen Carlton
