Kent / William Whitaker, birth
« on: Friday 23 May 14 04:52 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the birth of William Whitaker. From the census, I have narrowed the date down to 1813 - 1815 at Bekesbourne, Kent.
From the Petham parish records, for his marriage to Bethia Pemble, it states his father as Henry Whitaker.
However I have been unable to find any records pertaining to his birth. I am trying to discover who his mother might be.
As I live in Australia, the only access I have to searching is via the internet. So if any body could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.  :) :) :)

Thank you very much  :)
John White would fit in as the other siblings were born in the registration district of Blean.
This would now complete my mothers family as I believe that the last missing sibling may be an Albert Kennett b. 1914 as I believe Ted can be a shortened name for Albert.

I wish to thank everyone who has sent a reply as I have found all the information useful. :)

As I don't know where the unknown siblings fit in I cannot say whether they would be dead or not.
My mother is Violet Phyllis May White b. 21 Feb 1920 Fordwich Kent d. 2007 NSW Australia.
Her parents were:
May Ethel Kennett b. abt 1889 Fordwich m. 1917 Battle Sussex d. 1960 I think
Edward Charles A White b. abt 1897 Hastings Sussex d. abt 1966
3 of the siblings that I know are dead are:
Alan Edmond Kennett b. 1911 d. 1996 used the surname White for his marriage in 1937
Leonard Edward White b. 1917 d. 2002
Joyce B L White b. 1923 m. 1947 d. 1952
I thought my mother mentioned a Ted and a John, but I'm not sure if they are just nicknames for the siblings I have on my tree. However I am sure that she did mention that one of her brothers died in the war and was I think buried in Fordwich cemetery. The missing siblings are male as I know that there were only three girls in the family.

Thank you for your reply.
I have already tried searching using the mothers maiden name and I only came up with 6 of the 7 siblings plus my mother. I know the eldest was born out of wedlock therefore he has the same surname as his mother on the register. I also found my mothers sister who was hand written on and therefore does not come up in any searches on BMD. Therefore I was thinking that maybe some others were not on the register and this is why I was hoping that they would be listed on the birth certificates

I wish to know what info appears on a birth certificate.
I live in Australia and our birth certificates here have the names of all the older siblings listed. Do the English certificates have the same. I am trying to find the names of all my mothers siblings. Mum always said that she had 9 other brothers and sisters but I can only find 7. I was hoping that if I could get a copy of the youngest siblings birth certificate it would give me all the children's names

Kent / Re: John Tharp & Dulcibella, Canterbury

John and Dulcibella are my 3rd great grandparents. I have found their marriage (https://www.familysearch.org/search/). John Tharp married Dulcibella Beard on 14 April 1805 in Canterbury, Kent.
Dulcibella was born 1775, her parents were Richard Beard and Ann.
I hope this helps you in some way

Cheers
