Thanks for replies; it would appear to be that they don't belong to the same line. Happy hunting

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your interest. File not found despite several searches. I still cannot understand why, if file is so important to 'health' of the PC, that PC is running as normal.

kind regards,

Hi Stan

Many thanks for your prompt response to my query. I have been 'down the Google road' already regarding this but, without exception, all offers to give me a free download to repair the problem end up (after a scan which indicates that there are up to/over 40,00 (yes, 40,000) faults/problems in my PC) seeking registration/payment for the service. How on earth PC is working so well with all of these problems..................!!

Even If I felt like paying up I am not prepared to take the risk of this 'clear out' in case it removes stuff I don't want removed.

kind regards,

doxin

 sysinfo.ocx

~~~~~~~~
When I switch on PC a message appears to advise me that sysinfo.ocx or one of its dependencies is missing.
Although I can delete the message and carry on, there obviously is a fault and I would like to install/reinstall sysinfo.ocx to clear this problem
All help will be gratefully received.
Have a look at this site. I have used this system for years. It only takes 5 minutes to attach to your printer. By far the best and cheapest means!
Stan,
The error notice has been appearing for some time now and PC has been functioning OK in the meantime.
Using system restore, which I have done on previous occasions for other problems, would lose me too much data on this occasion.
thanks again,
doxin
