Sorry I can not help you here with your William, I have not come across yours so far.
I contacted someone else about this name but she was also unable to help. If I do come across him in my research I shall get in touch with you   Elliemay

Hi Cookie, I do have this information thanks. I did notice that Edward Stearn was added as a child of Joseph & Hannah but I have not been able to confirm this myself. I do know all about Edward as he was also a convict & came to Tasmania married & had many children naming alot of them the same names as Daniel & William Snowling did their children, so there must be some connection but I don't think as a brother. I would like to know who put this info on the IGI. I know there was a Joseph Stearn born in Sudbury Suffolk around the same time as I think my Joseph was but I have not been able to connect him to being in Melton Suffolk, I suppose it isn't too far away maybe he moved there for work. Will keep looking maybe one day!!!!    Ellen

Hi Valda, I have today received the marriage certificate for William Harrison Blackham & Charlotte Durdy. Her father was John a farmer married to Martha Hanson so the info you gave me on 1861/71/81 is the right person Thanks again for that . I will now endeavor to look for their marriage.  Regards   Ellen

Hello Valda, Yes Charlotte was the 2nd wife of William. I have only known of her being born Tickhill. I am waiting for the free BDM to bring up her death in 1915 for her fathers name. Thank you for your help it is appreciated   Ellen
