Hi, I've used the pay as you go option and it seems you get the same as Josey describes, image and map etc.

Frank.

Hi Frank, thank you  -  I just gave it a try out   -  I guess I was hoping for another clue as to place of births but the record doesn't provide that info unfortunately.  Still interesting though.

You should be able to view it here for free (some cert images are not available) but the index seems to have most if not all mother's maiden names.

Edit: I posted anyway dathai as the first one I looked at had no image but second one did.

Thank you Sinann, I have now found her and now have a another name to follow  ;D    Annie

Thank you Dathai - I wasn't expecting it to be so easy (and free) not knowing the mothers maiden name.

Mayo / Birth Certificate Swinford, Mayo
« on: Monday 17 October 16 21:11 BST (UK)  »
I have just discovered I have a relative whose birth was registered in Swinford, Mayo - 1910 ... if I order a copy of the birth certificate will the mother's maiden name be included  -  seems strange to ask I know, but I have a niggling feeling I've read something to suggest perhaps not?

As far as I know, the transcription is the same & the image & additional data [map etc] are available by both means. I access it via my subscription so cannot definitely say what is available via pay as you go, but I cannot see it will be any different.

Josey
Thank you Josey

Hi all  - just wondering if there is any difference to the amount of information available to the searcher  if they use the pay as you go credit system rather than taking out a world subscription?

1939 Register available on FindmyPast has an indication that a person was an an Air Raid Warden but of course that is probably on the Register only for those who were Air Raid Wardens at the beginning of the war and Register date. Any Air Raid Warden joining in say 1942 is probably not going to listed. Whether there are lists in general I do not know. Again I do not know whether 1939 Register is searchable by street name. Probably a name wood be needed to find a person.
Thanks for this info  -  I don't know how much information the 1939 Register contains - will raise the question with others who have a subscription with FindmyPast.

Does anyone know if any records exist regarding names of volunteer air raid wardens on Hessle Road - street names of interest are Walker Street,  Strickland Street ?
