Hi everyone! Brand-newbie here, hoping to not make a nuisance of myself!
I'm trying to find the marriage of Arthur Holland and Annie Clansey, c. 1897, presumably in Birmingham or local.
Known information so far:
Annie gave birth to Arthur Pryce Holland in 1898. He died in infancy. Father shown on b.cert as Arthur Holland, mother as Annie Holland, nee Clansey.
Annie gave birth again in 1900 to Arthur Robert Holland - father and mother shown on b.cert as above.
Neither Arthur, Annie, nor Arthur jnr show up anywhere on the 1901 Census; however, Annie had 2 further children, Ann in 1902 and Amy in 1910, and she and her 3 children do show up on the 1911 census, (as boarders) all with the surname Clansey (including Arthur, born 1900). The father(s) of Ann and Amy are not given on the b. cert for either of the girls and Annie is listed as a widow in 1911.
Arthur jnr and Ann grew up with the surname Holland, Amy retained the surname Clansey until she married.
From Free BMD, it looks like Annie was born in West Bromwich, but I haven't been able to find out where Arthur Holland came from, or when he married Annie.
Suggestions, anyone?
