Thanks BillyBlue for giving A Cameron advice I was going through my emails and spotted a notification to this thread which if I had not received a notification I would definitely have missed this.

A Cameron can you tell me a bit about the parents of your grandmother that settled in St Elizabeth Jamaica.  I have an Agnes on my tree but with some of the certs back then I have a few blank ones which makes my job harder trying to decipher which one of the remaining certs may pertain to Agnes and another sibling but I do have one for a female born in Oct 1916 with no name which I wonder if it may be her?,  Going back through my notes I believe the step-mother of Agnes I may have moved to Spauldings, Manchester JA at some point as she died in Spauldings, Manchester where as her husband passed in St Elizabeth.  Does this tie in with any information you have?

Feel free to send PM if preferred and we can chat further.

Thanks

Hi I am not an expert on this field but have been researching my family tree for a couple of years.  I doubt there would be records online for that time period due to restrictions on living persons, most births go up to 1930 at present.  You may have to contact the Jamaican records office in St Catherine I believe there is a facility that you can order certs online for a fee but personally have not tried it.  http://www.rgd.gov.jm/

I am trying to locate more information about my ancestors with the above surname (it is spelled in various ways) I understand that they traveled from England to st Elizabeth Jamaica.  Does anyone have a lediard in their family tree that resided in Jamaica.  Please contact me.

I am desperately trying to locate descendants and ancestors of Charles A nelson b1880.  I know that he had brothers and a sister but I do not know their names.  His parents were John and Jane Nelson.  I gather his brother then to live in America but i have no further information as I do not have a name.  If this matches with a name on your tree I would love for you to get in touch.  Thanks

Does anyone know if there is such a list for passengers departing Jamaica during the 1800s-1960?

Thanks
