Yes he is the same guy . He also has one at St Pauls in London. A book was written about him called "The Bravest Soldier"
My Gillespies are connected somehow and and trying to find that connection it has to be thru James Gillespie from BanBridge:

Cork / TERRY/WILLIAMS/GILLESPIE OF CORK

Carden Terry b. 1742 d. 1821 Irish Silversmith m. Catherine webb 1765. issues 2 sons seven daughters. Daughter Jane b. 1771 d. April 17 1845 m. John Williams August 6 1791.
John entered in to partnership with Carden Terry as his apprentice in 1795.
John WIlliams died  June 13   1806 leaving  5 sons and 2 daughters. Jane Williams then took over the partnership with her father as a silversmith until Carden's death July 16 1821. the business closed soon after.
Any one with more info on this family I'd love to share

No No you've been of great help. When you have very little info to work on you have to narrow your search. Melvin/Meldrum are often intermixed so your research has confirmed the Melvin that was of dispute and narrowed the search of Meldrum

This could be my Williams Father. William Meldrum that we have traced was born Jan 4  1839. He could well be in the 41 census. Siblings:

   ii.   THOMAS MELVIN, b. 1831.
   iii.   JANET MELVIN, b. November 20, 1833.
   iv.   MARION MELVIN, b. June 07, 1841.
   v.   JESSIE MELVIN, b. December 29, 1835.
