Hi,
He is a 6th great grandfather. I know his life from attending Glasgow University in early 1690s, I know from the Fasti that he was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Hamilton on 20th June 1700. I know his life from there, moving to Shetland, married there and died in 1749.
I have consulted OPRs both on the IGI and Scotlands People. There are only a couple of Robert Grays born at this time the rest have married someone else, or died on a different date.
I was hoping that someone connected with Fife would be able to confirm this particular Robert, or say, sorry - he got married and died in/around Fife.
Kind regards,
John Robertson
