Hi
Hugh Watt and Elizabeth Gilchrist are my Step-mum's 4th great uncle and aunt. Can I get a copy of that certificate? I'm most curious about the irregular marriage. Plus what compeare before the sepion means.

The Common Room / Trying to find the movements of my Gran and her brothers
« on: Thursday 20 April 17 21:46 BST (UK)  »
My Gran Margaret Moore and her brothers Alexander and Joseph's parents died while they were young.
On my Gran's birth certificate it says her father Robert Moore died 28th Feb 1917 (I've never been able to find a death certificate anywhere) and her mother Margaret Ann Wray died 25 Sep 1921 in the Western Infirmary, Glasgow, Scotland. I'm trying to find out if there is any passenger records for after 1922 that I can search for her and her brothers. Her uncle Joseph signed as witness of her .mothers death when he was visiting from Ireland. I would dearly love to find out what happened to her and her brothers went to and also where the dickens her father Robert Moore's death certificate can be located.

Thanks for the suggestion but they were supposed to be living in Abbey, Paisley...
I also have another question. As it says Ann was from that parish would that have been all her life or just for the duration of the wedding and the Banns? I am asking as I have a possible census for her and George but it states that she was born in England...

This is the birth you are looking for  - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FQ51-QQN
This birth of William McKinnon to Henry McKinnon and Agnes Brash is on 17th Dec 1860 at Calton Glasgow Lanarkshire. Because it's a December birth bear in mind it could have been registered in Dec or maybe in early Jan 1861. But you should be able to find it on Scotlands People.
Good luck with your research,
Looby :)

Thank you so very much Looby. I could kiss you if it didn't weird you out.

This is how the William McKinnon I was looking for is related. The mother on that birth certificate says Agnes McKinnon but if he was illigitimate then I thought the mother would be Brash. Thanks for your help in deciphering it it's clearly not the William McKinnon I was looking for.

I was hoping it was William McKinnon born in 1861. The date of birth and parents full names and address of birth would help. I fear I have wasted credits trying to locate this person for my step-mother.
