Thank you all SO much for this information. This is certainly the correct Dilys Strange/James. Thank you again for taking the time to help me. Appreciate it very much. Margaret.

I wonder if someone could kindly look for DILYS STRANGE (born 1919) on the 1939 Register (Ancestry). Not sure where Dilys would be living in 1939 but she married in Caerleon in 1942. Her full date of birth, her address & who she was living with in 1939 would be of great help to me in my research. Many thanks in advance, any information is very much appreciated.  Margaret.

Devon Lookup Requests / Inquest details from Western Times (Tiverton area)

I wonder if some kind person with access to the Western Times (Tiverton area) around 1827 could look up an inquest for me? Elizabeth Axhorn was the 1st wife of Wm Axhorn (1782 - 1837) I assume her death might be prior to 1827 which is when he married Faith Rowe. The Western Times of 2/9/1837 gave the result of the inquest on Wm Axhorn himself: He was killed by a lightning strike & the paper said it had covered inquests on both his wives. Faith died in January 1837 when she dropped dead in a shop....so of course I am now curious about what happened to Elizabeth & the circumstances of her death. I live in the Midlands so there is no chance of me coming to Devon to do the research for myself, I really would appreciate any help to find what happened to Elizabeth Axhorn.
Many thanks  in advance.   Margaret Evans.

Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Grenville/Granville Taylor born 1930's in Neath
« on: Monday 24 August 20 18:07 BST (UK)  »
Hello. I am helping a 3rd party to find the following chap (if possible). His name could be Grenville "Guy" Taylor born mid 1930's in Neath. He did his National Service in the York area of Yorkshire (no idea of which Regiment) He may have married in Neath in the 1950's. I have found a marriage in 1957 similar name but as no 2nd name is mentioned I cannot be certain this is the chap I am after. Any help in pinpointing where I might continue to search would be much appreciated.
  Many Thanks.
         Margaret Evans.

Hello Carole, I didn't have much luck finding MY couple on the 1939 in Barnsley (although there is  one family with matching names would you believe) but they were both born in 1913 so not the ones I needed. But... just this minute I have found them as PLEDHILL living in Coventry in 1939 & of course I now have their DOB which will be useful carrying me further with my search.
 Many thanks again.
Margaret.
