Thank you very much for letting me know. Did the church use the crypt for burials as well as the burial ground which you mention? I'm interested where they reinterred all the crypt burials when they decided to use it as an art space. It's all very intriguing.

Hi all,

Just found a couple of ancestors in the burial register for St. Mary in the Castle, Hastings. I assume they would have been buried in the crypt as there was no burial ground outside this church?

The church no longer serves as a church and is now an art centre. The art centre has photos of the inside of the crypt on their website, so now I'm wondering where everybody was reinterred? Tried searching on Google for more information but no luck.

Any information would be great. Thank you!

Dear all,

Thought I would post on here incase anybody has any ancestors who may be buried at Rye Cemetery.

I've spent the past two days photographing every gravestone in the cemetery and uploaded them all to BillionGraves.com where they're now in the process of being transcribed. I left out only a small handful of graves which were either difficult to get to or were worn away and were unreadable.

There are more than 1,000 photos and once they're all transcribed it will be fully searchable too. If anybody finds a relation, let me know and if you'd like I can send you the HQ version of the gravestone photo - without BillionGraves watermarks.

Good morning :)

I wonder if somebody would be able to decipher and translate these two handwritten records from Binche in Belgium for me.

The first is the marriage of my g.g.g. grandparents Rosalie Delhaye and Augustin Celestin Mabille. It's the marriage record on the left side of the book.

The second is the birth of my g.g.g. uncle Ursmer Augustin Mabille. That record is on the top, left hand page of the book.

Any help would be great - Thank you!
