« on: Sunday 26 August 18 17:44 BST (UK)  »
Thank you very much for all the information, it was not in the area I expected to find it
and I am so pleased
It has been very difficult to find a marriage for James Stacey to either of his wives/partners, Elizabeth
Webster and Mary Brockey Boston  , so we keep looking
sincerely
Marton

« on: Sunday 26 August 18 15:49 BST (UK)  »
I have looked for this Chapel --  can anyone tell me if it is still in use, and whereabouts the site is please
Can I assume it is a Baptist Chapel or another denomination ?
The confusion for me is that it appears to be either in St Pancras /Paddington/Marylebone area
Help would be wonderful as I have James Stacey b.1820 there to Richard Stacey and Elizabeth Burgt or Burge
thanks
Marton

Schrader, just had a look at convict records.com au/shipsnorthampton1814, where there is a bit about Eleanor, when she got her ticket of  freedom- who she married, and who her children were
The Northampton sailed on 17th June 1815 and arrived on Nov 8th, and it was the only voyage for convicts on that ship as it sailed for China after that
More records are held in the State Library of Queensland, which would appear to have more info
Her d.o.b. is given as 1793 and her death in 1881, good luck with the search ,I hope you can get further.Trove gives details about the Ship--National library ofAustralia

Hello  Schrader
I expect you will have this but here goes
On Ancestry she is found under Australian Convict Transportation Ships reg from 1810 -1817
Other Fleets and Ships, and it only gives Larceny as the crime, there are other Berridges deported too
The ship appears to be The Northampton
As it is Easter I expect the Archives will be unavailable for a while but I may be able to get a look soon if Poss
Tanks for the Saw info!

Thank you very much Steve, we do know the two sisters , Charlotte and Mary, and only recently had more info about Mary  who went to Australia, still have the conundrum about Charlotte and her children turning up in Tring, but calling herself Mary---I suspect this is one we will never know the answer to,and also about her brief marriage to Cutler Beckett
Thank you all for your help
regards Marton

hi there, we knew very little about Mary/Robert, but did have a photo of the grave in Wolombi, still have the puzzle of why her sister called herself Mary--had a child called Elizabeth, went on to bring up her sister's children , then married Cutler late in life
Dont know any more about the Australian relatives, so any info would be great,as Mary/Charlotte was my gt.gt.grandmother
many thanks Marton
