Kent Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Borough Green / Ilford - Kent??

Thanks montytj - I have checked again and I am pretty sure it reads Ilford not Otford as that bit is written quite clearly.
It is Alfred Sydney White who I am still trying to trace, and i think the Webb connection may be the link.
Since my previous post I got the marriage cert for the brother William and his father was listed as Henry White, Carpenter and Alfred's father was John a as Manager so I was in doubt whether they were really brothers or whether Alfred just said he was his brother when he went to join him in the USA.
It was only recently that I found Alfred's WW1 records on Ancestry and they give a date of birth of 21.12.1887, and state his father as John and his mother Annie, I thought I would be able to narrow it down from that until the doubt over whether it was Essex or Kent that he was born (everything else I have found lists a birthplace just as London).
I will go and check out the Webb name, this name seems familiar and I feel I may have come across this before, also I had some of the family in Mile End and in Wrotham at the Gas Works but couldn't make the ongoing link to the White's!
