Just came across this post .Barbara Clark was my grandfather's aunt. Her mother was Isabella Clark formerly McInnes MS Orr. Barbara's sister was my Great gran Isabella McInnes ,different fathers .  They left Glasgow and moved to Portobello 1901-1911 Isabella Clark died in Pipe Street 1915 . Spoke to a DNA match recently re Greenans and Scott's. Lots of great info on this part of my tree .

I have came back to this post as theres a possibility the Sarah Jane Mahood 1905 i stated could be the wrong one. There is only 2 in the 1911census
Sarah Jane Mahoods marriage cert 31/12/1931,,says she lived at 193 Canmore Street, Belfast, no age just Full. Father James, woodturner, witnesses  sister Annie and James Gray, married 27/08/1939 193 Canmore St Belfast also.
Sarah Janes death cert in 1940 says she was 35 which led me to believe she was born in 1905 and matched Sarah Jane in Banbridge in 1911 census. The other Sarah Jane was born in 1901 in Argyle St, close to Canmore St her father also James Mahood and mother Annie Wilson.
Sarahs sister Annies age matches the age in the 1911 census for The Belfast Mahoods and not the Banbridge Mahoods. Could they have got the age at death wrong? I believed it was the Banbridge but a cousin believes its the Belfast family. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Raymie

Down / Re: Marriage of Thomas Hunter and Anne Irwine ?

Been having a look again at the Hunters ,and the Info supplied by the posters on here was amazing. After looking at the 1901 census for Andrew it states living at a House  no 27  Rashee ,Ballynashee . Would that be a number of a house on a road or 1911 census Margaret is with her son Robert at  House no 39 Ballynashee  , . Just curious as i saw the programme WDYTYA with Mark Gatiss and his journey back to an old Farmstead. Cheers Raymie.

Hi Rosinish, her name was Catherine McLachlan  the informant was her husband David Gordon. I have her on the 1851 census at Water Street Glasgow  and same address when marrying in 1856. Have had help on the Gordon side on here ,thought id tackle the Mclachlan line . 1851 she states shes from Kilninver, Argyll, while her mother Ann/Agnes states shes from the Isle  of Luing and in 1871 its Melford ,Argyll.
