I've tried to find it, no joy. I did find a few which were/ are similar in style so I tried to research other buildings by the same architects. The first was Edward Buckton Lamb, he was labelled the rogue architect because he believed in the true gothic revivalist style. St Stephens church in Blubberhouses is very similar. St Stephens church in Aldwark has a very similar tower. The other architect is William Butterfield. His tower in Wykeham is similar in style.

Hope this is of some help,

Craig

Cleaned it up a bit, might help to date it. I reckon that those two boys look around the 6 & 8(ish) age. So if they are who you think they are, that would put the photo at your 1905 guess.

Your welcome Kathy! I'm new to this, so your guess is as good as mine. I'm just glad it was of some use to you. You have my blessing to do whatever you like with it ;D.

Hi. There isn't much there to actually restore, so I thought I would come at this from a different angle. Being an illustrator by training I thought I wold treat it as an illustration, and merely add colour and shading to help suggest what should be there. Its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it looks better I think.
