I’m not sure which would be best to place my family search as both grandparents came from a different area

Tyrone / Family search - Bloomer
« on: Sunday 11 March 18 12:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hi! I was wondering if anyone could help me with any details they may have on my great grandparents history.
My great grandfather Albert Bloomer (b:9 nov 1902-12/12/77) was born in dungannon to James and Isabella - he was one of 7 children.
He was baptised in St. John Caledon church in the parish of aghaloo
As far as I can tell he lived in Co. Tyrone for most of his life until in 1926 when he left for Scotland.
he moved to Rutherglen in Scotland where he met my great Gran Anne Siberry.

Annie Siberry (b:4/11/1900-13/12/72) was born in Sligo to John and Mary - she was one of 8
At some point they lived in Cloonlougher, Leitrim.
In 1925 she moved with one of her sisters to Scotland where she settled in Rutherglen.
She married Albert in 1928 on March 23rd.
They had two children, James and Margaret Grace (my Gran)

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me more about my great grandparents, and about their parents and siblings.

Thanks!

Hi - Albert and Annies kids were James Bloomer and Margaret Grace Bloomer.
James was a procurator fiscal, and I think he owned his own launderette. Margaret was a typist and then after having two of her own children (Carol and Shirley with her husband William) left work to look after her children

Leitrim / Siberry McDermott marriage.
« on: Thursday 14 May 15 00:24 BST (UK)  »
Hi - I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find out who Mary Jane Siberry married. All I know of her is that she was born in 1879, and married a man from the McDermott family. I believe she also emigrated to Newhaven, Conneticut. And was still living in 1940s.

Thank you for anything you can tell me

Canada / Jamieson family info
« on: Thursday 14 May 15 00:21 BST (UK)  »
Hi - I've recently found out about a branch of my family - the Jamiesons. My great aunt, Margaret (maggie) Grace Siberry [1882-1949] married a Francis Jamieson in 1913.
They had two children Mary [1915-1920] and James [1918-1962].
James married Margaret whilst he was training in Calgary in Canada, they had two daughters Margaret Rose and Helen Ann - who are both married and live in Canada.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find information on James and his family. James died in Toronto in 1962 after developing a brain tumour.
Any information on James, his wife and their children would be much appreciated.

Lanarkshire / Re: Steel Family

Just had a look at your tree on Ancestry with lots of information on it so it might be wise to state what you have and what information you are still looking for ..Just to save a lot of duplicate work ..are you looking for contact with other family members ?
Rosie :)

I'm looking for deaths for a lot of the siblings mentioned, partners and children of these people.

I'd like to get in touch with other family members as they could tell me a lot and maybe have photographs.

Thanks

Do you have any areas in Lanarkshire & any occupations from certificates please  ???

Annie

Hi,
David Steel born. 1886 was born in Bloomgate I believe. He lived in Hawthornedene in Lanark. He had also joined the army and was captured in Bupaume in 1918. He died in Arbroath.

Other members of this family seem to have been born mainly in Hamilton.
