Hi there,
Can you tell me where you got the St Mungo burial records from?

I'd like to find burial records for Charles Hanratty d 1926, Catherine Mary Hanratty d 1928 and Catherine Hanratty d 1930. They lived in Forestfield street and Dale Street.

Emma.

Hi there, I know that those looking after the  Carrickmacross Workhouse have recently done a lot of work on the kids that went off to Australia. They got an artist to recreate the wooden box the kids took with them on the journey- things like that. So they must have been digging out old records. you could contact them directly

Limerick / O'Shea/Shea and Shannon
« on: Monday 29 September 14 14:04 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I have a Denis/Dennis (b abt 1836) and wife Bridget (b abt 1833) )O'Shea/Shea in St Pancras, London in the 1861 census. Denis has a sister Margaret (b abt 1833) and her husband is James Shannon (b abt 1836). The census record suggests Margaret is from Limerick so her brother Denis must be as well.
Is it possible to find out where in Limerick they are from?
Can't see a marriage record for Denis and his sister.
All Denis' kids are born in London.

Found a marriage for sister Johanna alright. The other names a quite common Irish names. Hoping to follow parents of John back to Ireland and want to see if any helpful info was on his birth record. If I can't find his I will try find his siblings birth records but he a direct male ancestor on the tree I'm looking at.

London and Middlesex / John Shea/O'Shea

Hi there, I'm looking for the birth details of John O'Shea born around 1970 in the Marylebone area. He married Louisa Annie Emsden Arthurs in 1892 and his father is listed as Denis O'Shea (deceased).
One of the witnesses was a Daniel O'Shea. There are a few John Sheas being born in that general area in 1860-1872. Do I have to order birth certs from the GRO until I get the right one or is there any way I can narrow them down?

Oh yes! That's one of my Boylans! They had a Patrick Francis died in 1899 aged 10 months and the address was 4 Dykes land. ....They also had Mary who died in 1890 at 5 months, a Francis who was a twin to Patrick and that Francis died aged 7 months in 1895. They had a son then in 1896 and called him Francis too. So 3 that died were Patrick Francis, Mary and twin Francis, 3 that survived as far as I can see were Catherine jnr, twin Patrick and Francis.
