Hi Janice,
I am replying to a very old e-mail of yours. I have the Samuel Fee who was born in Ballymacilreiny, Banbridge in my family tree. He was christened on 1 January 1838 in Drumgooland Parish Church. My maiden name was Fee and I live only a few miles from Ballymacilreiny which is a townland. I also live a few miles from Drumgooland Parish Church. His parents were Samuel and Mary Fee.
Ballymacilreiny is near the town of Rathfriland in Co. Down. I wonder is this the person you are searching for. I didn't know that he was a soldier but it is very possible. I have also found a number of Samuel's siblings if you are interested.
Would be delighted to hear from you
