Hello,It's a long time since I was on this site.My grandfather was Thomas Elon Adulphus Watkins.He married twice his first wife died leaving him with 2 small daughters my mum Doris and her sister Hilda.He had 2 more daughters with his second wife Vera and Joan.

I think the saddest part to this story is that his poor wife lived the rest of her life thinking he had gone down with the Titanic,when in fact he was living his new life in America.

On the only papers that I have seen it says 4 Devon hope that makes sense to you.It doesn't to me.

Thanks for all the info David.
My father was in the Devon Regiment and was also at Aldershot.I have no idea why he was at Hursley though.At some time during the war he was in North Africa,also in Malta and Italy.
