I see there are a lot of Radcliffe wills on the following site

www.mannincloud.info

I hope this helps.
Also has lots of other Manx info.

Good luck.

Yes you are quite right about total confusion. Unfortunately the Aunt who gave me information is no longer with us. How often were marriage records incorrectly written do you suppose . Agnes's husbands father was John, I thought just maybe his name was written in error. Who knows, just one of many little puzzle pieces that doesn't quite fit.

I am not defiantly sure as some of this line is passed down information.
I know that my Agnes BELL did marry Andrew GARDENER in 1746. I had been told her parents were Alexander BELL and Agnes ALISON.(listed on a baptism entry in 1746) My confusion came about when I saw the marriage register entry  saying her father was John BELL.

I have a wee problem with confirming the Father of Agnes Bell b.21.08.1726, bapt. 21.08.1726, Edinburgh Parish, Midlothian. The baptism records list her as being the daughter of Alexander BELL and Agnes ALISON.
But the entry of her marriage  in the marriage register to Andrew GARDÉNER 05.11.1746  South Leith, Midlothian, says she is the daughter of "John BELL.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Jackie

Hi mab,

You are right with William, my error. I do have William  m. Ellen Beddagh , for some reason I wrote John, sorry about the error.
I had Bessie's parents as Chriatian Crosse and Phinlo Cubbon with a question mark.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi,

Possibly a sister Rebecca b. abt 1837

She is on the shipping list to Australia  1857  'Echunga'  with Mary.

An elderly relative once said, there was a Paisley as well as Glasgow connection ???

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the work you have put in. I had been unable to find the ship Mary arrived on, so that's really a great find, Many thanks. I have been unable to find a death in Australia that fits in with Duncan or Elizabeth. I have also tried marriages in England as a possibility, but came up with a blank. Never mind, nothing like perseverance.
