Thanks for trying Vivien,
There is a family story there that she may have been the child of a french soldier and a native mother.  Would love to get my hands on more details!  Maybe not meant to be!

This is all fantastic!  I was just trying to come up with more information for you and you've beat me to it! Eleanor was my father's mother.  Thank you so much for this information. Off to do some searching....

All the best,

Any information on the following family would be appreciated.

William Kerr & Mary McCorquodale.  Both born in Scotland.  Known child is my great grandfather Matthew Kerr, b. 1883 in Scotland but moved to Canada with his wife Martha Clements (daughter of Christopher Clements & Rosina Malone)

Looking for any information on Eliza Lecompte (b. QC 1826) married Sephrenus Stata and together they had Alonzo, Pliney, Allen, Emma, Caroline, Samuel, Agnus, Alice, Bryon & William.  Kids may all have been born in Ontario.

Looking for the ancestors of Emma Saunders who was born in England in 1849.  She married Thomas Taylor (b.1842) and they had William Albert Taylor (b. 1885 in Ontario, Canada).  Any information is appreciated.

Hi there,
I haven't been on the site for several years and just noticed that you are looking for info on an old post of mine (under a different, old and forgotten account) re: Rosina Malone and Christopher Clements.  My records do show that his parents were Christopher Clements and Sarah Ann Cardwell.  Great to learn they were form Killyman and that they were married in 1839. I would love to hear more about them or their lineages if you care to share still.

Many thanks,
Jennifer
