Not sure if you are still researching the Jacobs of Dorset, I am a bit late to the party I know but from first my cousin's and then my own research I am 99% certain that my 4 x Great Grandfather James (born 1794) was the brother of the Joseph (born 1797) that you were originally researching. I have some information on their father Edward (sometimes Edmund) and his brother Henry and other siblings and then their father Edward although that was where my research had got to until I read your posts on Henry & Ann. Could one of their children born 25/1/1739 be the Edward I had got to?
