Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Re: Etton and Dalton Graveyards
« on: Thursday 25 February 16 00:18 GMT (UK)  »
Hi David,
Looked for Monumental Insciptions for Adkins family, none at all in North or South Dalton and only a mention for Walter Adkins, away on Active Service and the same for Ida Atkins, Womens Land Army, alongside approx 39 other names, possibly on a Plaque in Church or Churchyard
gogogadgetlegs, (Phil)
Phil thanks for all your help
I know my mother in buried in Etton
I believe there is no headstone
Who would have the records of where she would be buried
I have been to Etton 2 times and there is never anyone there or any info on who to contact.
I would have thought in these times and people researching they could have addressed this area.

Thanks
David

Do you have Margaret & Sidneys marriage certificate.   Your other post will need details from it to track Sidney back and we will need details for Margaret on here.

Margaret was born after the 1911 census so we will need details of both parents to take this backwards
Margaret Hartley 27 years 12 Greenwood Avenue, Beverley Father William Henry Hartley (deceased) Occupation Carter.
Married 10 December 1938
There is no space for Mothers name on certificate
Mothers name on Birth certificate is Anne (or Annie) Eliza Hartley formerly Hamlet

Thanks
David

Can anyone help me?
Is there anywhere on-line where information on who is buried where in these 2 graveyards.
They are both in East Yorkshire.
I went to Etton graveyard years ago and it is overgrown and there was no one there not even the preacher could be located.

Where did you find her mother was Ann Eliza born 1896?
I believe I saw that on Margaret's Birth Certificate, which I cannot currently locate

If she was nee Hamlet, wouldn't her Mum have surname Hamlet, not Hartley?
My silly mistake of course she would Hamlet
I cannot seem to be able to find record of her mother and father or anything on her husband who as far as I know was William Henry Hartley

Thanks
