Thankyou for your contributions to date, the 1891 census information re Thomas McBride is valuable. His wife Elizabeth was six years older than him and I had thought unlikely to be Henry's mother as she would have been 65 when Henry was born.
The first child ,Elizabeth Susan McBride (c1834) was my great grandmother and the possibility that she was Mary"s mother is an interesting one. Elizabeth Susan McBride was married to Henri Davi Henriod ( from Le Havre,France) in 1861 in St.Helier, divorced within a few years, remarried Mr. Lucas on St.Helier who I beleive passed away and she married my great grandfather Alexander Cameron ( from Inverness, Scotland) in Queensland ,Australia.
