Searching for information on Henry Brown and Margaret Mackie who had a daughter and three sons- David (b.1804), James (b.1810), and John (b.1811) born in Bothwell. David married Agnes Wilson on 13.01.1828 in Coatbridge.

saw this on Curious fox website. Maybe the way ti find John is via his brother? I dont know.

Kilsyth

We know William and Mary married in Tullyniskan in 1834. I think William died around 1845 and Mary married William Little. If he dies in Ireland do you know when Jane and Mary came to Scotland?

John Brown's dad was Henry Brown and mother Margaret Mackie. Any info on these two?

Hello

I am also researching this family tree.

In the 1856 marriage cert for Jane she gives her name as Jane Devine. Her father is given as ??? Devine a farm labourer and then Mary Lamie.

Kilsyth - you have Jane born in 1828 any parish in Tyrone and if there is an entry for her birth does it give William Ferguson and Mary as her parents?

I am confused . if they are her parents why is she called Devine etc on the marriage certificate?

John Brown is on the 1871 census at EAND g Turnpike road in Lanarkshire, Bothwell. Jane is dead by then. he is aged 60 . I havent found his death certificate yet.
