Found the following on BMD

Webster  Herbert S and Josephine Clarke Jun 1921  Wandsworth  1d 1061 or
1051

I have looked at the originals and he is shown as on Page 1061, she is shown as 1051.

I would give both references to GRO when you order certificate.

Regards
Robert

Further to the 1871 Census information from Sunshine the image shows name as MALLOW.

I have found the following births on BMD
Edward and Henry the Twins

Mar 1868 Brentford  3a 90
MELLOR  Edward
MELLOR  Henry

And Mary Ann who was 7 months on 1881 Census

MELLER  Mary Ann Sep 1870  Brentford  3a 107

I don't know if this helps at all or confuses, perhaps they couldn't spell!

Who did Edward marry, was it in before they emigrated?

Regards
Robert

I have looked for the Brother in Law George SMITH b Great Gaddesden in 1891 Census and found the following which includes a brother David who is probably yours.

Edith Smith age 48 b Great Gaddesden Wife

David Smith age 14 b Great Gaddesden Son
George Smith age 11 b Great Gaddesden Son

Hi Trevor

Have looked at the 1841 Census entry and see that his parents William and Elizabeth were both born in Ireland. I think you should look for Catholic Records in the area.
