Thank you for this information and clarification, I did get my information from www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and ancestry.com and always try to follow up with actual documents. I was confused with Alexander and Margaret Thomson.  It was the only marriage I found and seemed odd with the huge gap in the children.  I will go over everything again, truly appreciate your help.
Cheers

Hi I am researching the Fraser family where they mainly lived Aberdeenshire Scotland, and later John Connon Fraser 1874 immigrated to Canada.

Alexander Fraser and Margaret Thomson was married Sept 20, 1789.  Marriage notice states Alexander was a soldier in Sterling Castle and they were married in this parish.  No other information other than his wife's name. Know of one son

Alexander Fraser(b abt 1788 d. Oct 15, 1876 Newhills Aberdeen; confirms parents names) m. Jane Milne June 28, 1807.  He was a soldier in the 72 Regiment of Foot.

Children: Robert Fraser (b. abt 1809-11 only states father's name; d. Nov 17, 1867 ) m. Helen Bisset
              large gap in the children
              Anne Fraser (b. June 12, 1830)
              William Fraser (b. July 14, 1833)
              Helen Fraser (b. July 1, 1836)
              Jane Fraser (b. July 22, 1840)

Robert Fraser and Helen Bisset's children all born Newhills, Aberdeen
             Robert Fraser b. Nov. 1833
             Alexander Fraser b. Dec. 8 1835
             James Fraser b. Nov. 20 1837
             William Fraser b. June 18 1840 m. Jane Connon Dec. 27 1862
             Margaret Fraser b. Aug 22, 1831
Charles Fraser b. 1843 (witness on father's death registration)
             John Fraser b. 1845
Martha Fraser b. 1850 m. John Livingston May 21, 1881 Woodside Aberdeen Old Machar
(have letter's written from William Fraser mentioning his sister)

William Fraser and Jane Connon's children all born Newhills Aberdeen
            Alexander Fraser b. Mar 1, 1863
            Eleanor Fraser b. Jan 1 1865 d. Jan 22, 1865
            William Fraser b. Jun 8, 1866
John Connon Fraser b. Feb 1 1868, died Aug 16, 1965 New Brunswick Canada.

John Connon Fraser immigrated to Canada with his mother's twin brother John Connon and his wife Elizabeth Campbell in abt 1874.  They resided in New Brunswick Canada.
John moved to Bar Harbor, Maine, USA for a few years where he was married to Agnes Bunker and they had 3 daughters  Jennie b 1892, Elizabeth 1894, and Margaret 1895.  Divorced and he returned to Canada and had a second family with Winnifred Stacy and another 6 children were born.

I am looking for any information on any of these families, all help will greatly be appreciated.  Not sure why John would be coming to Canada at such a young age when his parents were still alive.

Thank you

Fran
