What information do you have already ?

Have you investigated the Eaves family on the 1851 census Wellington County Canada West. ?

There was a marriage for Jeremiah Eaves 4 May 1885 Wellington Ontario - father Mark Eaves and Mother Elizabeth - spouse Margaret Howard.   Jeremiah would fit with the family on that 1851 census.

Sandra

I didn't have Jeremiah's parents names, I have the info from the 1891 Census, but I'll look back further on the 1851 census. Thank you for giving me something else to go look into! greatly appreciated :)

I just noticed on that link that Margaret's last name was Howard, however, I had it listed as Hannah which that marriage registration form indicates she was a widow... so I'm guessing Howard was her married name *does happy dance*

Looking for any help, I have a Jeremiah Eaves (1844-1926) born in Nova Scotia (family originally from Ireland according to one Canadian Census), then moved to the Palmerston Ontario area, married Margaret Ann Hannah (?Hanna) (1856-unknown).
He passed away at the House of Industry between Elora/Fergus in June 1926.  I'm looking for any information on parents or anyone before him.
Thanks in Advance!

this is what I know at this time;

Archibald Noble (1788-1873) was born in 1788 in Ireland, he first married Grace McMahon (1794-1836).  Grace passed away 17 August 1936 after giving birth to her last child Grace Izola Noble, Grace is buried on 18 August 1836 in Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone, Ireland.  Archibald married Martha “Mattie” Cauthers (1794-1874) in 1837.
Archibald and Mattie immigrated to Canada in 1842 (according to online email correspondence).  It is noted on the Archibald Noble PDF file that “Edward (1829-1927) emigrated with his father, step mother and younger siblings. The sailing ship took seven weeks to make the journey, and landed in Quebec.”
Archibald passed away on 8 Dec 1873, and Martha had passed away 98 January 1874 both are buried at Pioneer Cemetery, 5th Line, Mulmar Township.

I have a small bit of information on some of his children as well, I'm looking for any information.
Thank you so much!
Barb

Can you be more specific about what information your looking for ?
A number of anc tree shows Archibald had 9 children with Grace and 1 with Martha. (This would give you contacts)

Canada / Re: Why can't I find an Ontario death?
« on: Monday 08 May 17 15:04 BST (UK)  »

Yep.

I just found the county Long Point is in...Norfolk.

But.................looking at the PR again, it says she died in Montreal. I'm not too bothered about that, because the Cemetery record says:

Annie Paterson
Born in Scotland
Died: May 21st, 1896
Age 44 Years Old
Place of Death: Long Point Home, Ontario
Last Residence: Long Point Home, Ontario

So, it's fairly clear that she died in Ontario.

Here's the problem: Long Point is a very long way from Montreal. The last time I drove from Montral to Toronto, it was five hours at the speed limit of 100kph (okay, maaaybe just a little bit over ;D).

Long Point is a good hour beyond that.  At 100kph.

But the PR says she was buried the day after she died...on May 22, 1896.

Something's off, but I don't know if I should worry about it.

But as I'm getting nowhere, I suppose it's moot :(

Canada / Bryans/Noble Family in Ontario

Looking for information or other descendants of Archibald Noble (wife Grace McMahon and 2nd wife Martha Cauthers) and John Bryans (wife Ann Jane Noble). Both of these families emigrated to Canada, I believe the Bryans were in the area of Lambton Mills and buried at the Islington Burying Grounds in Etobicoke, and the Nobles lived in Mulmar Township and are buried at the Mulmar Pioneer Cemetery.
Thanks in advance :)
