I am searching for my early family in Fermanagh, Robert Boggs was the father of my antecedent John Boggs. Nancy McGill was his wife . I believe that John Boggs was born c 1796 and had 9 children. they were Presbyterians. They migrated to Sydney New South Wales Australia on the 'Adam Lodge' in 1837. I would love to find other children of Robert and Nancy in Ireland and if there are any descendents of the Boggs family. Shylie Brown

John Boggs born 1775 and died in 1833 in Drumnacannon, Tamlaght O'Crilly Ireland, he married Nancy McCaughey and they had a son Samuel in 1803. I am trying to connect this family to John Boggs of Londonderry who married Mary Anne Cunningham in 1817 and who had 9 children . Can anyone help me with this query?

Thank you for that advice. I have been trawling through but have got nowhere, What I was hoping for was maybe to find a brother or sister of John Boggs who did not emigrate . Thanks again Shylie

Thank you for your message. Do you know of any other Boggs link I could follow. I should imagine that you have had to wade through many false leads. Regards Shylie

Hello magster51, It is a dream of mine to find Boggs family in Ireland. I descend from John Boggs and Mary Anne Cunningham who sailed on the ship :Adam Lodge" and arrived in Sydney 1837. Does this ring a bell ? I would love to hear more from you. I am from Sydney Australia (*)

Laois (Queens) / Re: Christopher, Sarah, Ellen and Jane Bailey/Bayley

Thank you for answering my query. Christopher was a protestant (attended Presbyterian Church) and arrived in July 1841 Sydney, Australia on the ship "Helen", his sister Sarah came with him but on the "Herald" . The shipping record states both Christopher and Sarah are from Stradbally Queens County. Hugh and Sarah nee Connel were their parents. The other children, Isabelle, Jane and Eleanor arrived on the ship "Eliza " in 1855. Is there a way I can find the birth dates of all the children. All of the Bailey's who arrived in Australia were single and married here.

I would love to find more about the Hugh Bailey and Sarah Connel family from Stradbally Armagh. The children's parents were Hugh and Sarah nee Connel. The above children immigrated to Sydney NSW Australia in 1841 and the girls later in 1855.I would like to know what happened to the parents and were there other siblings in the family?

Some years ago a lady  gave me a drawing of a cottage in the grounds of the vineyard which she wanted to sell It was titled Vineyard cottage. I did sell it for her to an antique dealer who has a very old house in Hope Street Rydalmere. Somewhere I copied the drawing and will try to find it for you. How many cottages were on Vineyard I am not sure.
