Perhaps you could explain actually how they are connected :)

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Re: Where do I go from here?

Hi

As a follow up to this thread - unfortunately these marriage details have been placed  on a PEERS family web site [lots of copy and paste] The designer and author of the web site is not a member of our family and has not responded to my emails or to pm's via rootschat.

http://www.geocities.com/jumeau_overflow/peers.html

I have since found out that this PEERS/HUNTER marriage is not the  marriage of my ggg grandfather - great disappointment to me.  However the incorrect information remains on the website and I am unable to do anything about it.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1841 census lookup - BEETCHENOW
« on: Monday 04 September 06 11:58 BST (UK)  »
I am unable to find any BEETCHENOWS  in the 1841 census or the 1851]

Parents William and Martha and in 1841 there would have been  a number of children including my gg grandfather Charles Henry  b. 1828  Redding.   He emigrated to Australia in 1851 or 1852 so he may not be in the 1851 census.

My father can recall greatgrandmother Beetchenow telling him that the family were from London and were "cockneys".

I am puzzled that I am unable to find anything - it is probably transcription errors but I have searched using all sorts of spelling.  My searching seems to be dogged by transcription errors :(

Hope someone can help.

Thanks Jenn - noted.  Will add to the 'tree'.

I spoke to Mr Trevan this evening and told him of the connection.  He responded with 'I recall something about a Fred dying suddenly - he wasn't very old'  Doesn't remember the wife Dorothy at all.

I would love to know if there had been any children.  He has given me another contact who may have more info.  Here's hoping :)

I am really only tracing the Peers family and this really is a bit off target.    Still that's what family history is all about.

Hi Sidsmith

Thank you for that information.  When I speak to Mr Trevan I will mention it.  He was interested to know where he fitted into his family.

Your help is appreciated.

Thank you both for the info.

I have looked at the reference to Thomas Trevan and the Kadina cemetery.  I am not fussed if I don't find Frederick Stanley Albert's father.

Today I spoke with a delightful Mr Trevan who said there are not many Trevans in SA and mentioned his uncle Fred and Auny Ella May at Whyalla.  He actually read me the screed that is on the web for Thomas Trevan.  He has offered to make further enquiries for me.

Once again thank you for your help.

Cheers
