My dads family was also in Illies
Do you know their nickname in the illies?
Actually its my grannys family that are from the illies was just talking to my daddy but will be talking to my mum later and see what i can find out  :) give me a couple of hours
checked my email, nothing there

I dont know whether anyone can help me with this.

I am trying to trace where in Donegal , Michael McDaid ( my family name) came from.  He was killed on Bloody Sunday(aged 20 and one of 12 children) , and records show him as coming from Donegal.

Hi, My Uncle was the Michael McDaid killed on Bloody Sunday, he was brought up in Tyrconnell Street Derry, i am sure his father was from the Illies in donegal but i know the family spent most of their lives in Derry.
