Durham / James Henry Kidd 1913 Durham?
« on: Tuesday 23 January 07 22:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all
Was wondering if anyone out there can help me out with one member of my Kidd family:

James Henry Kidd born January 1913 His mother died very shortly after his birth. Parents of James were: John Wilson Kidd and Caroline Emma Kidd formerly Graveling
Address at time of birth: Church Street Sleetburn Colliery Brandon and Byshottles. Durham.
I believe James Henry was AKA Harry? It is possible he may have been adopted perhaps living in same area as birth or possibly Newcastle district would appreciate any info of James/Henry aka Harry and/or his family. I have all other info of Kidd family
Many Thanks
Kind Regards

Try www.historicaldirectories.org they have a very comprehensive lot of local directories for many areas. I have an 1834 one - could not see them in that. If you look at later census records for the Market Place you may find the pub name - or the record office will be able to help.
