SIMMONDS.
Looking for my grandfather's family Arthur Charles Simmonds (abt 1884) he was married to Jessie Iddoles (1893) & they lived in East London,England. He had a sister Rose who had 2 girl's Rose & Winnie & he had 2 brother's Harry & Joe, no more info on this family, can anyone help? Arthur's father was Edward Simmonds & Jessie's father was Alfred Iddioles.

Hi Jorose, Arthur's marrige cert. say's he was a carman & his father Edward a engineer(I have been told that could mean someone that is qualified in anything)?. Witness's on Arthur's marrige cert. were Mary ann Wren & Charles Wren, & it give's Arthur & jessie's address's as 14 Morgan st. Jackie

Hi, I live there, we say we are going down the blue all the time, meaning southwark park rd. which has shop's & a few stall's.
Also on the corner of blue anchor lane is the blue anchor pub.

Thank's for help, I am still confused are you telling me their were 2 Louisa Thatcher's that married a Edward Simmonds, 1 born st. pancras & 1 born sidworth or tedworth,hampshire.
The 1 born in st. pancras do they have kid's.

Now I'm confused, if this is him and he's lied about his age, in 1901 census they were Simmonds but in 1891 their name was Simmons.  Jackie

Hi all,
I am looking for info on Edward Simmonds or Simmons born abt. 1860, I am trying to find his parent's name's.
On 1901 census it say's Edward Simmonds 1860 born Kensington,London, living at 20, st. Alban's rd. occupation a labourer & on 1891 it say's Edward Simmons without the (D) in surname 1859 born Kensington,london, living at 37, Uxbridge st. occupation a fishmonger.
It is the same family as same wife Louisa & same children.
But I cannot find his parent's.  Jackie
