Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: 1841 Census Lookup please - HARDY
« on: Monday 06 November 06 09:05 GMT (UK)  »
Wow Elaine, would that make you & Andrew 4th cousins then? Andrew was really excited when I told him as he hasn't found any 'cousins' before... brilliant 8)

I haven't sent off for John Charles Hardy's birth certificate so I don't know his mothers maiden name.  I'm pressuming Esther is his Mum as I didn't know John Hardy had been married previously.  I would be so grateful if you could fill us in.  I can give you any information I have from John Charles to the present day.

We moved to the Isle of Wight in 1988 (small Island off the south coast of the UK). We were both born & bred in the Peak District of Derbyshire. We've been married for 22 years & have 3 daughters, Gemma (20), Lisa (17) & Elena (11).

Best wishes Vanda

Vanda,
Was most interested to see you were interested in 1841 census record for the same Hardy family as I was.
Hi Elaine,
I would love to know how you are related to them.  John & Esther are my husband's 3x great grandparents.

Best wishes Vanda

Hi there,

I wondered if SKS would be able to look up the baptism of my 3 x great grandmother Dinah FIELDHOUSE please?

Info from the LDS web site says ...

I'd appreciate any help - thank you  :)

Completed Census Requests / FreeBMD & Postems
« on: Wednesday 10 May 06 10:56 BST (UK)  »
Morning everyone,

I've just been on the freebmd website and found an entry for a marriage that I am interested in.  I decided to click on the red 'info' button at the end of the name and a new page opens up.  It says 'Add a Postem' where you can leave information.

Q: Can you enter the information from that particular certificate so that the next person looking at that name doesn't have to pay £7.00 for the information or is there some legal stuff that says you can't??

Thanks, Vanda  ;D
