Thank you still don’t see extra the additional members on 1911 are children of the daughter. Only additional I see 1901 Is Robert James who I knew of first born

Still can’t see where it says 3 children died sorry for my ignorance

I do have reason to believe he was in the army though and would like to explore this just would like to know how to start

This was only one extra son i was already aware of Robert James and age gap remains between Mary and Samuel

I was looking for advice on how to check army recruitment I have tried ancestry and find my past. Sorry and thank you

Dad Samuel Boyd born 1863
Mary boyd mum born 1864
Mary boyd daughter born 1887
Samuel George Boyd son born 1896
John F Boyd born 1899

There was a David boyd born 1904 not on this census

Yes all children listed in 1901 and 1911 and these are all the children born to them I have heard mentioned. Going to see if I can find out just looking for best places to do so that’s all happy to spend time on it

Hi

Looking for tips in finding if someone was in military. Not coming up in ancestry or find my past. Would be Northern Ireland military

Samuel Boyd
B:1863 Magheralin, Down, Northern Ireland
D:26/05/1925 Belfast, Antrim, Ireland

Could be Magherdrool co doen birth father Hugh Boyd have confirmed this on marriage record to Mary Brown. Reason I think this as strong military record in the family and he has a 9’yesr age age between children 1887 and 1896 so thought this may be the reason
