Channel Islands Lookup Requests / Re: Help Guernsey 1901 Census Lookup*Complete*

Hi

Weirdly, I, like carol80, am also looking into this family on behalf of someone else. Specifically, for the grandson of Phyllis Ogier, Marion’s older sister.

It looks like Thomas Robin Ogier, his wife Cecile De Jersey nee Mauger and nine of their ten offspring left for Wellington from London in 1908, leaving Phyllis (then aged 10) behind in Guernsey. She is still in Guernsey in 1911, living with three elderly Naftel sisters at Valdivia, Vale, Guernsey. But in 1922, she sets sail for Australia, aboard the Osterley, bound for Melbourne.
You’d think she was on her own but the next two people on the passenger list are Mr A and Mrs A Domaille. These appear to be the same people Phyllis is visiting, as a 3-year-old, in her second entry in the 1901 census (the first being at home at 1, New Road, with Dad, Mum and seven siblings).

I’d be delighted to hear any information about why the family left and whether there are any living relatives who can recall any information about Thomas Robin, or Cecile, or any of their children.

Thanks!
