Ruskie thank you for reply, so sorry my mistake house is 23 New Street not 30.
You mentioned to get previous owners thru council, as Beaconsfield is only a small town
would they hold rate notices in Launceston, or Hobart?.
                                                                              Kind regards L/B

age would between 1880 to 1900s. Cheers .Lavender Blue

Thank you all for solving the prayer key, proves you can be lead down the garden path.
I really thought it may have helped me find the owner of the house.
Roots chat certainly is a wonderful source.   Keep safe and well everyone.

Hello researchers here I am again asking for help, to try and finish my Davis line.
I  am trying to place Lewis Edward Davis born 4/4 /1901 Beaconsfield Tasmania.
With help from you, had his marriage in 1928 living in Footscray Melbourne with
Elizabeth nee Curran (correct) have evidence she died Royal Park Melb and have
cited her grave.
Now at a standstill of trying to find where Lewis resided after that, and a death for
him.Could anyone advise where to start?
Thanking you all once again  Lavender Blue

Rosball cant thank you enough for all the information you have given me,
especially snippets on Triptree etc also the links for Tasmania research.
I am looking 1900 onwards, telephone and street directory would have been
an ideal source, but looked like page wasnt there any more.
Regards G

bbart  Thank you so much for your answer, yes Trove does sound interesting.
The information I am seeking is connected to a Aunt, who was living in Hospital
Rd, on the 1905 Census as a domestic, her name M Davis.
I would like to be able to find whose household she was working for.
Apparently she left Tasmania 1906/7 for NZ, but cant find out going passenger
ship. Cheers
