Armagh / Re: Greenaway BOYCE born 1846 or 1847 in Co. Down?
« on: Wednesday 28 January 15 16:00 GMT (UK)  »
Willia boyce and jane patton were married at seagoe coi in22/4/1841 unfortunatly before civil registation so it doesnt give parents names.

In1857 they lived in ballydugan townland william 40 jane36  james henry16 john 14 greenaway 12 walker 8 william edward 3 simon1

From my research greenaway is named after his maternal grandfather greenaway patton

Unsure if greenaway was baptised at knocknamuckley althought a lot of his 10 brother and sisters where

Greenaway married mary jane porter in seagoe 1/7/1873
Greenaway boyce full bactilor farmer ballydougan william boyce farmer
Mary jane porter full spinster seagoe john porter farmer

The is a boyce family tree book  about william and jane patton i lucked out there was a copy in the linen hall library in. Belfast

The main problem is find out where Priscilla and Valentine where married I have a feeling that valentine was a widowder at the time of his marriage but need the marriage cert to prove that if its true that it is the same valentine that married sarah Adamson in 1851 in tullylish and his father was alexander

Armagh / Re: Moffat Family of Armagh?
« on: Saturday 04 January 14 12:26 GMT (UK)  »
do you know where in county Armagh they where

the problem is that the dates you are looking for are before civil registration - 1845 non catholic marriage. 1864 catholic marriage and all births and deaths. That means it is the church records you are going to need

« on: Thursday 11 April 13 20:49 BST (UK)  »
hi there are several hart families in the north Armagh portadown/ lurgan area there is no issac hart in the seogoe records although there are gaps in the 17th century. there is a Jacob but it is around 1712 he married mary Dixon and was from drumcree parish so it may be worth looking at drumcree  church of Ireland
